R&S Valiant Club - Members Cars

Here are some photos of Kathryn's car taken at Darling Harbour.We bought the 'S' 3 years ago. It came with a heap of NOS parts and lookedpretty straight. Kathryn drove it around for a while but we decided to doa 'quick' resto on it. Famous last words!!. Once we began to strip it werealised that it was quite rusty. Luckily I picked up a mint set of doorsplus hood and 2 trunk lids for $250, (a real bargain as they were perfectand required no work at all). The car was taken back to bare metal and ourpanel beater re-constructed both rear quarters. Paul and Kath's S Series

S Series engine bay The car was paintedSherbrooke Green as we didn't like the any of the original colours and itlooks great with the factory green interior. We had the armrest andsteering wheel done in pearl green to match. All the rubbers that I couldpurchase were replaced and the windows tinted. About a year ago I found aset of 60's ROH 5 spokes (very rough @ $10 each). After about a month ofpart time work they're finally on the car and look pretty cool.

Drivetrainis stock although I will be fitting Air-conditioning in the near future. Only problem was that the car turned out so nice, it lost its daily driverstatus and Kathryn now has a Jeep Cherokee to drive to work.

I have also attached a photo of my 1972 Plymouth Duster 340 (driven 100kmsdaily even with 14 mpg!!) and the Valiant Bar-racuda bar I made for ourhouse. The bar is coated in Lamborghini Gold 2 Pac and a bar fridgeresides underneath.
You could say we are Chrysler crazy and even our pets are named after them;

Neon----------the budgie
Harley--------(as in Davidson) the budgie. He's the black sheep

The following are animals that have since passed away

Barracuda Drinking Hole

And next year we are finally going fulfill our dream by going to the USAfor 2 month's. We hope to go to many Chrysler shows including the Moparnationals in OHIO and purchase every thing we need to restore my Duster butthat's another story. We'll be taking plenty of film and video while thereso hope to have a club film afternoon at our place when we return.
